Position: Marketing Director

Role Summary

The Marketing Director is responsible for overseeing the formulation and implementation of comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the overarching goals of Werfen. This role collaborates closely with Business Unit Managers (BUMs) to ensure the effective execution of marketing initiatives that drive sales and enhance brand visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of marketing strategies in conjunction with BUMs for each business unit.
  • Provide regular updates to the General Director regarding the performance and market dynamics of various business units.
  • Ensure consistency in product and service launches, maintaining a unified value proposition across all marketing communications.
  • Align marketing activities with the strategic objectives of the organization.
  • Encourage BUMs to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Advise on compliance with quality systems and oversee necessary audits and corrective actions.
  • Contribute to budget preparation and management, ensuring accountability for financial performance across business units.
  • Work with finance to establish marketing budgets for each unit.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to define promotional strategies and activities.
  • Facilitate training for BU and sales team members to ensure consistent messaging and customer engagement.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and foster collaboration with clients.
  • Focus on enhancing company profitability by optimizing sales margins and managing operational costs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Chemistry, or Biomedical Sciences.
  • MBA is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing leadership roles, particularly within the healthcare or diagnostics sectors.
  • Strong business acumen and management skills.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to lead high-performance teams.
