Job Summary

EnerSys is a global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications. As a Sr. Cost Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the monthly financial closing process, preparing journal entries, reporting financial results, and analyzing manufacturing variances against standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare analysis by volume produced and its impact on absorption derived from the mix of manufactured products.
  2. Develop and maintain accurate financial reports and KPIs to measure financial performance related to material usage, labor costs, and overhead spending.
  3. Coordinate and perform annual physical inventories to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  4. Validate and track inventory adjustments to maintain accurate financial records.
  5. Perform accounts reconciliations for inventory, accruals, and support accounts payable processes related to inventory.
  6. Develop and maintain monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes to ensure accurate financial planning.
  7. Assist in monthly meetings with Corporate Cost area to discuss financial performance and strategies.
  8. Validate material structures (BOMs) and standard times of products (Routings) to ensure accurate cost calculations.
  9. Assist in validating cost-saving projects proposed by different areas to ensure alignment with corporate goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a cost accountant.
  • Experience with monthly financial closings, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience with manufacturing variances analysis, cost roll-ups, and inventory control.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management and BaaN system.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment

This position will work in an office setting with minimal physical demands.
