Job Summary

This Data Quality Clerk position plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our student information system database. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Essential Duties
  • Maintain security management, data integrity, and disaster prevention within the student information system database.
  • Perform data extraction and reporting tasks to meet district, state, and federal accountability and funding requirements.
  • Meet established data quality goals set by school administrators.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of data using various tools and techniques.
  • Take corrective measures to eliminate data problems and maintain accurate records.
  • Interface with parents, students, and staff to obtain and record necessary information.
  • Work closely with building administrators and guidance counselors to create and record student schedules.
  • Understand and apply proper coding values for student classification.
  • Collaborate with program administrators to complete data requirements for state reporting.
  • Report and maintain accurate grade records with teachers and administrators.
  • Enter, maintain, and verify data for testing programs with test coordinators and special education coordinators.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records, including drop-out information, and provide clerical assistance related to truancy identification and intervention.
  • Participate in district-wide meetings, training activities, and share relevant information.
  • Maintain required technology skills to perform job tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A post-secondary degree in data technology or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, a high school diploma with equivalent data technology coursework or approved combination of training and experience may be considered.
  • Three years of experience with database-related information systems is preferred, as well as one year of experience with Student Information Systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Professional Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Technical aptitude to learn current and future student management databases and integrate them with common office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and basic math skills.
  • Ability to create and utilize search and query functions to verify accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Effective communication skills for working with employees, parents, students, and outside agencies.
  • Minimum keyboard skills of 30 wpm.
  • Ability to complete relevant training courses and adhere to district standards.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity for using a telephone and data entry.
  • Read computer screens and printed materials with or without vision aids.
  • Hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone.
  • Speak clearly in person and on the telephone.
Pay Grade

The estimated salary range for this position is $43,750 - $65,000 annually, based on location and experience.
