Clinical Research Physician (CRP) Role

Purpose:

The Business Unit-Medical Affairs Clinical Research Physician (CRP) is an integral part of the medical affairs team for strategic planning and support of launch and commercialization activities to meet patients' needs and enhance customer experience. This includes patients, healthcare providers, and payers. The CRP may collaborate with global Development teams, Therapeutic Area Program Phase, Early Phase/ Clinical Pharmacology, and Translational Medicine teams in new product development activities throughout drug development and clinical trial phases.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert medical support for all local business aspects to enhance customers' experiences.
  • Participate in annual medical plan development reflecting patient journeys and unmet need analysis.
  • Conduct medical support for regulatory affairs and interactions with government agencies.
  • Lead scientific data dissemination and oversee educational program content development.
  • Support training of sales representatives and other medical representatives.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctor with board eligibility or certification in relevant specialty/subspecialty or comparable post-medical school training.
  • Completion of education at a medical school meeting Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) requirements.
  • Knowledge of drug development processes preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance scientific priorities with business objectives.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork, leadership, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to engage in domestic and international travel.
  • Fluent English communication.
