Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Risk Management Strategist to join our team in Mexico City.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and driving our international risk management strategy. You will have high exposure across lines of business to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the coordination of work related to Capital One Mexico's risk management function, working with the first line of defense Technology, Cyber, and other infrastructure function teams, Lines of Business, and second line of defense teams.
  • Assist the Capital One Mexico and ES Risk leadership team in delivering against their strategy and service model.
  • Participate in and support the development of Capital One Mexico's processes and the related risk management framework across Capital One by providing thought leadership, oversight, and coordination with lines of business and other risk management activities across the company.
  • Drive entity and process level assessments to identify related risks and mitigation plans based on industry standards and best practices related to risk management (especially technology risk) and aligned with Capital One's strategic risk direction.
  • Analyze information to proactively identify risks, trends, and process improvements; supporting reporting on international risk topics to management.
Requirements:
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, economics, business, or related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience within the banking or financial services industry, with a strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and operational, compliance, and strategic risks.
Salary Estimate

This is a senior-level position with a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
