**Job Summary**
As a Production Manager at Vertiv, you will be responsible for leading a team of manufacturing professionals to ensure the efficient and productive operation of our manufacturing processes. Your primary goal will be to meet customer requirements while maintaining a high level of quality and productivity.
**Key Responsibilities**
Collaborate with other managers to formulate objectives and understand customer requirements
Calculate costs and prepare budgets to ensure financial performance
Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
Lead and develop self-driving teams to achieve manufacturing goals
Manage people by providing strong leadership skills and mentoring
Ensure that new employees follow an induction process and are competent in their roles
Monitor competences for your team and develop their autonomy through training plans and follow-up
Ensure working standards are respected during operations, including safety, work instructions, quality, and product respect
Manage the team on best practice and establish standard policies and procedures
Conduct annual appraisals, salary reviews, career interviews, succession planning, and provide feedback
Communicate a mindset of continuous improvement and responsibility towards targets achievement
Perform OJT of your teams every day on standards and methodologies implemented
Congratulate and recognize your team for improvements
Ensure a positive social climate on your APUs
Manage productivity and capex projects related to production areas to meet budget and required finish dates
Ensure enforcement of health, safety, and environmental rules
Ensure corrective and preventive maintenance of equipment and sustainable TPM
Define work standards with the help of support functions
Strong communication skills to interact with corporate personalities
**Manage Production**
Be responsible for customer satisfaction
Responsible for plant production, financial performance, meeting customer requirements, and maintaining the orderly and productive operation of planned activities
Be accountable for SQCDP performance and profitability of your APUs, in terms of targets achievement and improvement
Ensure optimal use of equipment (OEE)
Assign and check corrective actions on recurring problems with APU and Plant support departments
Ensure manufacturing performance, volume, quality, and cost goals are met by utilizing efficient methods and maintaining appropriate staffing levels
Escalate at Site level the issues that can't be solved
Validate monthly the demonstrated capacity of your APU and communicate to SIOP/MPS
Weekly commit on MPS
Respect daily the MPS contract
In case of daily MPS respect deviation, take necessary measures to have respected weekly MPS at end of the week
**Manage Continuous Improvement**
Lead daily APUs War room (SQCDP)
Lead workstation ergonomics risk analysis and elimination
Lead every day gemba activities with your team, as TOP 3 issues countermeasures review
Lead and review action plans to improve SQCDP performance (actual and targets)
Be responsible for Customer Line Return analysis and solving for products from your APU in front of customers
Translate customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective processing and profitable manufacturing of company products
Manage the VSM deployment plan Flow of your APU or plant areas, ensuring that there are Flow Transformation workshops evolutions to simplify Operations and minimize waste
Prepare budget proposal (including training actions, investments)
Manage the budget of your APUs and allocate the appropriate resources in respect with the budget perimeter. Implement necessary corrective actions for compliance
**Contribute to Successful New Projects**
Be involved in the industrialization of new projects as early research and ensures along functional department a flawless launch to SORP (Start or Regular production per NPI plans on Program Management)
Validate the Lean Process Design for new projects
**Qualifications**
Reports to: Director of Operations Plant Manager
Schooling required: BS degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Metal Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
Experience required: At minimum 3-5 years of experience
Management or Independent Contributor: Salaried Position
English level: Bilingual 90%
Self-Awareness: Strong transformational leadership and emotional Intelligence
