About Our Client

We are a leading global private equity fund with a strong presence in Mexico's industrial real estate sector. We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Controller to join our team in Mexico City or Monterrey. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial activities and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly and year-end financial statements under IFRS
  • Ensure timely reporting of all monthly and annual financial information
  • Manage the monthly and annual audit reports and documents
  • Assist leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process
  • Track payments against budget and forecasts
  • Review and analyze existing policies and procedures for efficiency and effectiveness
  • Create and present financial and tax strategy recommendations to senior management
  • Review compliance reporting
  • Supervise and develop staff, establishing performance standards and expectations for staff and reviewing work assignments both in-progress and when completed
  • Manage external consultants, service providers, and commercial counterparties, including auditors, legal counsel, and tax advisors

Requirements
  • Solid experience in accounting management, tax, and/or financial reporting, with knowledge of the real estate sector
  • Ample knowledge of IFRS, international accounting, MEX GAAP, and tax
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams
  • Exceptional interpersonal and team leadership skills
  • Fluency in English is mandatory
