Key Responsibilities- Regulatory Compliance
- Monitor and ensure compliance with railroad regulatory service laws, regulations, and commitments.
- Provide expert advice on regulatory issues and applicable laws, regulations, and rules.
- File reports and official responses to regulatory agencies.
- Litigation Management
- Manage and coordinate litigation cases, including administrative, commercial, civil liability, tax, customs, agrarian, labor, and criminal cases.
- Receive, analyze, and respond to legal actions, claims, and lawsuits filed by or against KCSM.
- Negotiate out-of-court settlements and damages to railroad equipment.
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with terminal obligations and permits.
- Monitor compliance with telecommunications law and data protection privacy law.
- Perform internal reviews and audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Law
- Regulatory and litigation law experience
- Compliance manager experience (due diligence)
- Professional experience of at least 15 years
- Fluent English language skills
