**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Market Systems Manager for Coffee and Cocoa to join our team at Heifer International. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of market systems for coffee and cocoa in Mexico.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead the design and implementation of market systems for coffee and cocoa, including the development of strategies for sustainable increases in productivity and quality, value addition, commercial linkages, and certifications.
  • Manage a team of professionals to achieve project objectives and ensure effective project implementation within the parameters set by Heifer and funders.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with small-scale coffee and cocoa producers, cooperatives, and other stakeholders to promote the adoption of agroforestry practices and strengthen entrepreneurial capacities.
  • Identify opportunities for additional income for producers through productive diversification and access to payment for environmental services and carbon credit markets.
  • Develop and implement strategies for increasing access to fair financing for producers and facilitating participatory processes with small-scale producers to develop strategies for supply chain development and associativity.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, or similar disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in market systems development, agricultural development, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of leading teams and managing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
