About This Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for supporting station/Gateways operation on site. As an Industrial Operations Specialist, you will analyze and develop improvement initiatives, executing PDCA or DMAIC. Your primary goal will be to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and service performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will prepare and monitor short-term and long-range plans regarding expansion procedures, staffing, equipment, vehicles, and products at the operations.
  • In addition to providing technical training to personnel in workshops, seminars, and on-the-job training sessions, you will assist in implementing sound, innovative engineering concepts into operations.
  • Maintaining communication between operations and corporate departments to provide technical expertise relating to facility requests, including lease termination, new location, five-year planning, equipment justification, layout, vehicle planning, and cost justification, is another key responsibility.
  • You will also assist in studies designed to implement sound, innovative engineering concepts into operations and thus produce benefits for FedEx and our customers.
  • An additional aspect of this role involves preparing management information systems to aid in the control and development of the operations goals.
  • Participating in special staff support projects and ensuring that operating plans comply with safety and legal standards are also critical components of this position.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineer or Industrial and Systems engineer is required, along with English language proficiency (at least 650 TOEIC or 550 TOEFL).
  • Desirable additional knowledge includes Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, ISO9001 or other ISO Norm, Supply Chain or logistics.
  • At least two years of experience working as an operation engineer in manufacturing or services areas, supporting operations areas, positions like Quality Engineer, Operations Engineer, Process Engineer, or continuous improvement engineers should cover this experience.
  • Implementation and managing KPIs such as productivity and efficiency, developing Procedures and operative manuals, mapping and analyzing processes, preparing and presenting reports, performing cost and benefit analysis, training people, operative, and administrative tasks, experienced time and movements analysis, line balancing, or routes calculation, leading root cause analysis initiatives using analysis tools like Pareto, Ishikawa, Trend analysis, etc., and high Excel skills (Formulas, Dynamic Charts, Macros) are essential requirements.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications, experience, and location.
