Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, designing, purchasing, and implementation of changes to manufacturing equipment and systems, ensuring alignment with Cummins standards and business goals.
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes to ensure safety requirements, product specifications, and business objectives are met.
- Utilize continuous improvement tools and lead the development of manufacturing standards and working methods.
- Collaborate with internal and external resources on specific project assignments, including key stakeholders and business leaders.
- Maintain advanced knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices, applying them to drive business results.
- Coach and influence key stakeholders to drive process improvements and equipment implementation.
Requirements
- Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineer or similar degree.
- Experience in implementing machine guarding and installation of new lines, test equipment, conveyors, electric and pneumatic tools, and supplies.
- Knowledge of Lean and OE practices, PFMEA, Flowcharts, Critical Process Paths, Cycle Times, and Tack Times.
- Intermediate level AutoCAD user.
- Management of RFAs and Purchase Orders.
- Advanced English language skills (conversational).
