Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex issues with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve issues promptly.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to continuously improve maintenance processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical background preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in maintenance, electrical, or refrigeration; hotel engineering/maintenance experience a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in general maintenance, electrical, or refrigeration; parts inventory and requisition experience a plus.
  • Supervisory experience a plus.
