About the Role
The Detection team at Google is responsible for developing and maintaining the signals, tools, and infrastructure that we use to detect and respond to security threats. As a Security Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and security professionals who work together to identify and mitigate security threats.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of engineers and security professionals responsible for intrusion detection and incident response.
- Develop and implement strategies for detecting and mitigating security threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
- Conduct ongoing analysis and risk assessment to identify potential security threats.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience as a technical security professional.
- 2 years of experience managing a team of engineers or security professionals.
- Experience with threat modeling and security analysis.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of technical experience as an individual contributor security professional.
- 2 years of experience managing a team of engineers or security professionals in a distributed organization.
