**Job Summary**

Ametek, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Plant Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our financial planning and analysis team, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to our manufacturing operations.

**Responsibilities**

  • Apply financial principles and accounting expertise to various accounting duties related to financial planning and reporting.
  • Maintain and distribute expense reports to ensure budget adherence.
  • Coordinate financial administration and analysis of manufacturing operations, including sales and cost of sales, labor reporting, product costing, and inventory management.
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in physical inventories, analyzing results and reconciling financial to perpetual inventory.
  • Develop and analyze computer-driven reports, interpreting data to inform business decisions.
  • Coordinate and analyze direct labor reporting, preparing recurring monthly journal entries.
  • Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules, standard cost duties, and actual to standard manufacturing variance analysis.
  • Review and investigate purchase price and material usage variances, working with marketing and purchasing to establish proper costs.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, overseeing process and reconciliation of annual physical inventory.
  • Participate in preparation of annual operating and capital budgets, analyzing product costs, overhead absorption, and abnormal fixed cost expenditures.
  • Daily interface with manufacturing personnel and production planners to improve inventory controls and internal programs.
