About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Data Analyst to join our team at PepsiCo. As a key member of our Go-To-Market team, you will play a critical role in advancing data solutions and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute data-related initiatives by understanding business needs, researching and analyzing appropriate data sources, and building dimensional data models that service those business data needs.
  • Use technical skills, such as SQL and Power BI, to quickly profile and analyze data sets, even those with limited business context and familiarity.
  • Effectively communicate findings to both business and technical personnel, and iteratively execute follow-ups.
  • Design effective dimensional data models to share with data engineers for technical ETL build.
  • Frame high-complex visualization and analytical solutions based on business needs and PepsiCo standard platforms.
  • Build Data Definition Language (DDL) constructs iteratively based on feedback from data engineers and evolving business requirements.
  • Anticipate and overcome technical and data problems, making appropriate decisions to deliver assigned projects.
  • Define and establish standards for data modeling across the PFNA Data & Digital Solutions Team.
  • Lead junior data analysts across the team and participate in sharing approaches and incorporating learnings into future work.
  • Assist other team members on project deliverables as needed.
  • Responsible for the support of a variety of data sets and data visualization tools in the production environment.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years' experience operating in an IT data analyst or business data analyst role.
  • Extensive and high-level hands-on Power BI and SQL experience, with the ability to write complex queries to explore and understand data.
  • Knowledge and/or ability and experience querying both traditional relational database technologies (e.g., Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) and emerging cloud-based technologies (Azure Data Lake, Hive, Presto, Synapse).
  • Knowledge and experience creating DDL data models.
  • Ability to perform data discovery and profiling activities on data sets and present results to both IT and business users.
  • Strong functional domain expertise in at least one core PepsiCo business function (e.g., sales, supply chain, finance).
  • Ability to teach master classes within the Power BI community of practice to build and grow data culture around the business.
