This is a senior-level role that requires a highly skilled and experienced educator to lead the development and implementation of the Primary Years Programme (PYP) curriculum for grades K-5 at the American School Foundation of Chiapas. The successful candidate will have a strong background in curriculum development, implementation, and improvement, as well as experience in leading teams and collaborating with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the KG/Primary curriculum and educational standards.
  • Integrate innovative teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, including grade-level teams and subject-area departments, to share best practices and promote a cohesive educational experience.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay informed about the latest educational research, trends, and pedagogical approaches.
  • Actively participate in or lead extracurricular activities, clubs, or committees that contribute to the overall school community.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB school.
  • Experience in curriculum development, implementation, and improvement.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
