Regional Supply Chain Sustainability Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Supply Chain Sustainability Lead to join our team at Hsbc. This is a critical role that will play a key part in driving our sustainability commitments and ensuring that our supply chain is environmentally, socially, and governance (ESG) responsible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement regional sustainability strategies that align with business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with regional stakeholders to ensure effective execution of sustainability strategies and implement global best practices in ESG.
  • Support the development of sustainability objectives and metrics for inclusion in scorecards, and assist with the definition of target proposals based on market best practices.
  • Provide regular reporting updates to local ESG teams and maintain a close working relationship with the Global Supply Chain Sustainability team.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for regional/local suppliers with respect to ESG compliance/understanding issues.
  • Drive projects to address specific ESG issues and lead or participate in regional and local Steering Committees and working groups.
  • Support the delivery of sustainable value through the provision of sustainable sourcing strategies and assurance, risk management, contractual protection, and consistent best practice.
  • Support the development and communication of group policies, standards, methodologies, and solutions appropriate to a sustainable supply chain.
  • Lead the collation of performance data and the associated reporting from local country leads through the regional governance framework.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • 3+ years of experience in a relevant ESG role.
  • University degree educated or equivalent training/professional development.
  • Postgraduate (e.g. MBA) preferred in a relevant discipline.
  • Meet or exceed agreed ESG targets, including improved ESG compliance from strategic suppliers.
  • Ensure the implementation of sustainability standards in procurement processes and systems.
