As a Senior Director, Policy and Regulatory Strategy, LATAM, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's regulatory strategy and market expansion in Latin America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Engagement and Stakeholder Mapping: Formulate and execute a comprehensive regulatory engagement strategy to drive market expansion and growth in tier 1 and tier 2 markets in Latin America.
  • Market Analysis and Segmentation: Conduct in-depth market analysis and segmentation to identify opportunities for growth and expansion in the region.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Licensing: Collaborate with legal, compliance, and operational teams to ensure regulatory compliance and obtain necessary licenses for Circle's products and services in Latin America.
  • Market Expansion and Regulatory Efforts: Lead market expansion and regulatory efforts in targeted regions, prioritizing tier 1 and tier 2 markets.
  • Reporting and Decision Support: Develop and maintain reporting metrics, dashboards, and decision support resources to track licensing, compliance, and regulatory requirements in Latin America.
  • Public Response and Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and implement public responses, including requests for information, comment, and other engagements with external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: 13+ years of experience in legal, policy, regulatory, and policymaking, with a strong understanding of emerging technology, financial services, and global markets.
  • Policy Instincts and Relationships: Proven knowledge and relationships at the highest levels of government, policymaking, and regulatory matters shaping the future of money and payments.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of policy, regulatory, legal, and licensing requirements for payments, digital currencies, crypto-assets, and blockchain-based markets in Latin America.
  • Language Skills: English, Portuguese, and Spanish written and verbal fluency required.
