About the Role

This position is based in Leon, Guanajuato and follows a hybrid working arrangement of three days on-site in our Refugio Campestre office and two days remote (work from home). No exceptions will be made to this working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of general ledger accounting and monthly closing processes.
  • Oversee the payment of suppliers and taxes in a timely manner.
  • Implement and verify all salary changes and bonus payments for processing through payroll via outsourced payroll administration.
  • Reconcile output payroll administration and make journal entries in the ERP system PeopleSoft.
  • Administer and coordinate the completion of all monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory tax returns, including VAT and corporate tax.
  • Manage social security-related taxes and filings.
  • Ensure local annual accounts are prepared by the local auditor and filed on time.
  • Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules as needed.
  • Manage order management, invoicing, and cash application.

Requirements

  • Educational level: College level degree in accounting or finance.
  • Working experience in accounting of at least 1 year, preferably in a global company.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Experience with accounting software programs or ERP systems (PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Good communication skills, pro-activeness, and determination, flexibility, and team spirit, independent.
  • Full-time position.
