Room Operations Manager II Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rooms Operations Manager II to join our team at Almare Luxury Collection Isla Mujeres Adult All-Inclusive in Isla Mujeres, Mexico.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in managing the execution of all operations in the rooms area departments (e.g., Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance, Housekeeping) and leading a specific team while assisting with meeting or exceeding property goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify that goals are being translated to the team as they relate to guest tracking and productivity.
  • Create and nurture a property environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, continuous improvement, and a passion for providing service.
  • Understand employee and guest satisfaction results and develop game plans to address need areas and expand on strengths.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the execution of all operations in the rooms area departments.
  • FOLLOW UP
  • Publish all guest satisfaction results in a timely fashion, including all guest satisfaction forms, comment cards, and guest letters.
  • Takes proactive approaches when dealing with employee concerns.
  • Extends professionalism and courtesy to employees at all times.
  • Communicates/updates all goals and results with employees.
  • Meets semiannually with staff on a one-to-one basis.
  • Teach the team how to schedule against guest and hours/occupied room goals.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required; 4 years experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area is preferred.
  • An associate's degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major is also accepted with 2 years experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.
