Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Development Engineer to join our team at Prodensa. As a key member of our production development team, you will be responsible for driving production development efforts for new customer products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive production development efforts for new customer products, analyzing and developing manufacturing functions, capacities, and facilities needed to produce the customer's product.
  • Participate in driving production development efforts for new customer products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Set up ERP part number structures, routings, and BOMs for new products, ensuring accurate and efficient production processes.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineers to design and structure manufacturing work flows for new products, optimizing production efficiency and quality.
  • Responsible for the creation and update of related documentation, including test procedures, assembly instructions, specifications, checklists, and other relevant documents.
  • Assist key personnel, project lead engineers, and/or Operations management in determining work scope, tasks, schedules, and budgets for production development projects.
  • Support EHS regulatory and environmental requirements in project launches, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Create process flow diagrams to aid in rapid understanding of production processes, improving efficiency and quality.
  • Work with programs including Autodesk Vault, MS Word, and visual-mapping software to document and store production processes.
  • Partner with Production and Manufacturing Engineering functions to lead pre-launch production trial runs and process quality monitoring.
  • Develop product test plans and perform production tests according to manufacturing process instructions.
  • Monitor operations of products and evaluate designs to ensure adherence to all design and manufacturing instructions.
  • Ensure compliance to all Engineering Change Order procedures and work instructions.
  • Analyze and recommend corrective actions for any design failure occurrences.
  • Coordinate NPI status reports and other appropriate reports.
  • Responsible for knowing procedures and Safety Instructions, Health and Environment applicable to the department and Global Manufacturing Principles.
  • Document new processes, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Works closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Production, and EHS to take assemblies from initial design through prototype development and into full production.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineer, Industrial Engineer, or related degree.
  • 3+ years of experience as a manufacturing professional working on mechanical or electromechanical systems and welding processes.
  • Ability to effectively employ standard methods and tools, APQP, PPAP (DFEMA, PFMEA, PFD, Control Plans, MSA, Capability Studies, etc.). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven working experience in design documentation development.
  • Knowledge of IATF, ISO 9001 & ISO14001 standard.
  • English fluent - Business conversation.
