Job Summary:

El Grande Group is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all payments and financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process payments, including weekly payment runs and ad-hoc payments, through our IT systems.
  • Work closely with our Head of Treasury to establish and maintain an IT-based process for reconciling bank statements on a daily basis.
  • Investigate and resolve variances in payments and reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support the development of our payment policy and processes to ensure a secure and efficient payment system.
  • Collaborate with our Head of Treasury and VP Digital Transformation to define requirements and process designs for payments-related IT.
  • Assist with month-end cut-off schedules, journal entries, and other financial processes as needed.

Requirements:

  • Accounting degree and several years of experience in accounting and/or payments training.
  • Minimum three years of experience in managing payments and bank account reconciliations, bank relations, and payment providers.
  • Strong accounting and financial analysis skills, with the ability to synthesize data from different sources.
  • Strong understanding of process workflow, controls, and design.
  • Good English language communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Impeccable personal record and references.
  • Proficiency with standard ERP systems, online banking portals, online payment platforms, Excel, and/or Google Sheets.
