Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Operations Manager to join our team at Accor Hotels. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our hotel's mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly responsible for the operation and maintenance of high-pressure steam boilers, chillers, air handling units, AC/DC drives, fire systems, emergency generators, sewage plant equipment, reverse osmosis plant, pumps, and motors.
  • Distribute work orders and schedule weekly maintenance personnel.
  • Train maintenance personnel and assist with daily payroll editing.
  • Help manage the department budget and order materials and parts for the department.
  • Organize and maintain minimum levels of parts and materials in the maintenance storeroom.
  • Assist the lead shift building operators and maintenance technicians with troubleshooting, preventative maintenance programs, and emergencies.
  • Work closely with the Director of Facilities Operations on annual operational and capital budget items.
  • Coordinate with all departments in the hotel to accomplish daily maintenance job tasks.
  • Schedule preventative maintenance of equipment and monitor and maintain all mechanical and electrical systems as scheduled.
  • Ensure departmental adherence to brand standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience, including three (3) years as an Assistant Director of Engineering or equivalent in a large luxury hotel or large multi-facility building.
  • A Third Class Power Engineer Certificate (or higher) or equivalent experience is required.
  • Hands-on repair and maintenance experience with boilers, chillers, pumps, AHUs, etc.
  • Additional extra trade certificate and inventory management would be an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of EMS Automatic Logic Supervision Control (or similar systems).
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills of building systems and computer applications.
  • A working knowledge of all building systems and codes.
  • A working knowledge of blueprints, wiring diagrams, and hydronics.
