The Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the security and functionality of our global enterprise data network. This position involves the support, maintenance, and configuration of network and security systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN appliances, and SaaS solutions that facilitate our internet, LAN, and WAN operations. Daily engagement with our monitoring and reporting services is also a key responsibility.

The Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer is expected to uphold professional relationships with internal and external colleagues, stakeholders, management, partners, and vendors. This role requires participation in an on-call rotation and the use of a company-issued smartphone. Occasional travel may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement, manage, and support Wyndham's global network and security systems, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with key initiatives. Conduct change control and device configuration management for all network and security systems. Provide management-level reporting on firewall, proxy, and Intrusion Protection System (IPS) activities regularly. Engage in security incident response activities, implementing tactical risk mitigation strategies. Collaborate with business units to develop network and security solutions that meet customer needs while adhering to established processes and standards. Work closely with fellow Network Engineers, IT Architects, analysts, and external partners to evaluate and propose innovative technologies and methodologies aimed at enhancing organizational effectiveness. Coordinate technical support between Network & Security Services and other IT engineering teams, facilitating system maintenance, installation, and modifications. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience. Advanced knowledge and experience with Cisco IOS, NXOS, Palo Alto PANOS, and Cloud Proxy Solutions (Zscaler is a plus). Expert understanding of dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and RIP, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting in complex environments. Active certifications such as CCNP, PCNSE, and AWS-related certifications are highly desirable. Familiarity with NetDevOps and/or SecDevOps practices for infrastructure management (Python, Ansible, Terraform, bash scripting, etc.). Experience with Splunk or similar SEIM platforms (CrowdStrike LogScale is a plus). Fundamental knowledge of compliance standards such as SOX/PCI/PII. Additional preferred knowledge includes wireless networking and network monitoring tools (SolarWinds HCO is a plus). 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in a mid-to-large enterprise with 24x7 operational environments.

Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
