Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Operations Director to oversee the production process and coordinate all activities to ensure efficient resource allocation in a safe manner. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning workers' schedules, estimating costs, and preparing budgets to meet required deadlines.

About the Role:

The Industrial Operations Director is a full-time position that involves planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes to produce goods and services efficiently. You will ensure that products meet quality standards, are produced at the right cost, level of quality, and within the specified timeframe. This role may also involve product design, purchasing, and collaboration with other functions such as marketing, sales, finance, and global product lines.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines.
  • Oversee the production process and ensure that production plans are met, resolving any issues in collaboration with the team and stakeholders.
  • Maintain a cost-effective production process.
  • Determine required resources.
  • Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance department to maintain equipment.
  • Implement and monitor quality-control programs.
  • Implement and maintain lean tools and practices.
  • Supervise and motivate a team of workers.
  • Review worker performance, including supervisors.
  • Identify training needs.
  • Ensure daily quality management.
  • Report to upper management.

Interface:

You will work closely with various teams, including Global Product Engineering, Global Manufacturing Experts, Suppliers, General Manager of the plant, Local HS&E department, Operation Controller, Production Planner, Quality area, Warehouse and shipping areas, Maintenance department, and Local HR department.

Travel Requirements:

Rare travel is required, approximately one or two times per year, requiring a valid passport.

Qualifications & Experience:

We are looking for a candidate with proven experience as a production leader who possesses deep knowledge of production management. Advanced understanding of LEAN principles, quality standards, and health & safety regulations is essential. The ideal candidate should have experience in reporting on key production metrics, including performance evaluation of people and budgeting concepts, as well as drawing interpretation skills.

Skills and Abilities:

You should possess good English language skills (writing and verbal) and excellent organizational and leadership skills. Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SAP, is required. Knowledge of SAP for master data, routings, times, and BOM's is advantageous.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
