**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team at Mercer as an Agility Leader. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a mission-driven organization that is transforming the way our business and IT teams work together to deliver quality software to market.

**About the Role**

As an Agility Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing one or more Pods and ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of software through from requirements to working in production. You will focus on value creation, growth, and serving customers, while aligning with our strategic target organization and operating model for Agile delivery.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Run the software delivery Pod, ensuring there are smooth and efficient processes for getting software through from requirements to working in production.
  • Focus on value creation, growth, and serving customers.
  • Responsible for ensuring your pod is resourced with skilled individuals working with our internal and external resource provider teams.
  • Align with the strategic target organization and operating model for Agile delivery, particularly the QE transformation and the shift towards the implementation of T-Shaped Engineering practices.
  • End-to-end delivery of a group of software products.
  • Make outcomes that lead to project success, and work with Product Owner and Business Analysts to help project team prioritize and groom backlog to deliver an Alpha early, then continue to deliver value often throughout the project lifecycle to staging and production environments.
  • Be a leader for between 5-8 squads: around 30 – 100 people.
  • Foster collaboration, break down silos, identify and work to remove blockers.
  • Be a recognized Agile Expert intimately familiar with the processes and practices required for successful and sustainable delivery.
  • Have a solid understanding of Software Development, Architecture, Test Engineering and Security best practices in an Agile environment.
  • Be responsible for the holistic costs of the pod; its resources, infrastructure and licensing.
  • Consider tech debt, obsolescence, security and modernization as Pods support the full lifecycle of a product.
  • Ensure our Agile at scale governance and ceremonies are in place and effective.
  • Work with the wider team to plan complex product releases.
  • Ensure our standard metrics are visible and actively used to drive conclusions.
  • Own the Continuous Improvement backlog for the Pod, delivering improvements for time to market, efficiency and quality.
