About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Underwriter to join our team at AIG. As a Junior Underwriter, you will play a critical role in analyzing and managing risk for our clients, ensuring that our insurance products meet their needs and provide the best possible outcomes.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Handling existing renewal business and growing new business through effective quoting and binding processes.
  • Supporting the development of our underwriting strategy by analyzing market trends and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Monitoring supplier payments and managing relationships with vendors to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Preparing and sending group referrals to global underwriting teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Coordinating with internal teams to meet underwriting projects and drive profitable sustainable growth.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • At least 3 years of experience in underwriting, preferably in a commercial insurance setting.
  • Strong knowledge of supplier payments and vendor management.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, finance, or risk management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
