As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing our company's relationships with consumers and other businesses, ensuring our strategic positioning to engage new clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, lead, and manage key accounts to achieve business objectives.
- Accountable for the outcome of assigned projects, including KPI reporting, customer service, routing, problem resolution, vendor compliance, and customer interaction.
- Develop solutions that address customer needs, coordinate with other departments and employees as needed, and work with clients to ensure their needs are being met.
- Adhere to government and regulatory compliance standards, including AES, customs clearance, ITAR, screening of denied parties, and dangerous goods regulations.
- Extract and analyze account data, providing sales and service quality data forecasts to management.
- Creation and delivery of MBR and QBR data to meet or exceed global sales and client expectations.
- Review account budgets, pricing, quoting, and improve cost effectiveness.
- Assist global sales staff and offices with customer relations, resolution of issues, and create client solutions that drive additional business from assigned clients.
- A team player with a strong work ethic, appreciation for ownership, independence, accountability, and autonomy in your role.
- A growth mindset, passionate about your craft, always looking for ways to improve yourself and the company, open to change, and willing to do things differently.
- A customer service focus, serving a wide variety of customers, both internal and external, and building relationships is a part of our culture.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in freight forwarding operations, account management, or sales experience in the supply chain industry, with 3-5 years in direct customer-facing roles.
- Advanced understanding of air and ocean, imports and exports, with extensive work experience in one or more required.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other MS Office software.
- Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail, self-motivated, and able to work within a virtual team across multiple time zones and global geographies.
- Ability to source, format, and communicate/present data to internal and external clients, possibly presenting in conference rooms or virtual settings.
- Able to facilitate global conference calls, possibly at afterhours, to include customer or operations teams across the globe.
- Ability to problem solve and be solution-oriented in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, organizational, and planning skills.
- Possess strong analytical abilities, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to think strategically and analytically about business and product challenges.
