Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and automate solutions that enhance the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our cloud systems.
  • Design and manage robust cloud infrastructure solutions utilizing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Spearhead cloud initiatives aimed at advancing the company's technological capabilities.
  • Guide engineers in automating application code builds using Azure DevOps Build Pipeline.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and refinement of automated solutions for cloud infrastructure.
  • Create and sustain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software deployment and release processes in collaboration with development and operations teams.
  • Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) for managing cloud resources.
  • Work closely with development teams to automate application deployments, testing, monitoring, and scaling.
  • Continuously enhance cloud infrastructure automation by identifying and applying new tools and methodologies.
  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of automation frameworks and processes within cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement and manage configuration management tools for software and infrastructure deployments.
  • Design and implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve potential issues in the cloud environment.
  • Optimize cloud resource usage and costs through monitoring, auto-scaling, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Stay informed about emerging cloud technologies, automation tools, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Experience & Education

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Information & Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Over 7 years of experience in cloud and automation, particularly with Azure DevOps.
  • At least 4 years of experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Minimum of 5 years in automation and DevOps practices.
  • 5+ years of experience with scripting languages for Azure (ARM, CLI, PowerShell, Terraform, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting highly distributed systems.
  • 3+ years of experience in migrating on-premises workloads to public cloud environments.

Technical Skills & Competencies

  • Strong grasp of cloud technologies, automation, and infrastructure.
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Automation Engineer or in a similar capacity, focusing on infrastructure automation.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) for automated software deployments.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and data privacy in cloud settings.
  • Experience with configuration management tools for infrastructure management and automation.
  • Proficiency in developing and managing infrastructure monitoring and alerting solutions.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch and Azure Monitor.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices, including Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of serverless computing using AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or Google Cloud Functions.
  • Ability to integrate on-premises technology with cloud solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to drive collaborative decision-making and follow through.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, utilizing both internal and external resources.
  • Capability to produce technical designs and documentation.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
