Lead Claims Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Claims Operations Manager to join our team at AIG. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing a complex team of claims adjusters and driving best practice claims handling performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the allocation of claims within the team and provide technical support to team members.
- Keep senior management informed of key developments and trends in the Complex team.
- Execute strategic initiatives within the team and ensure compliance with governance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Mitigate indemnity and expense spend for Complex claims.
Accountabilities:
- Team performance and development.
- Effective resolution of Complex level claims.
- Accurate and consistent reserving and financial control of claims.
- Performance management of team members.
- Compliance with governance standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership and management experience, including people management and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with policy language and legal/ regulatory requirements.
