We are seeking a motivated and innovative individual to join our team as a Continuous Improvement Specialist. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive process improvements and contribute to the success of our organization.

About the Role:

  • Participate in improving processes using the A3 & RCCM methodology
  • Contribute to or lead cross-functional multi-level projects and kaizen events
  • Develop a continuous improvement culture by coaching and involving employees in Lean methodologies
  • Be a change agent and drive out waste throughout the operation using lean methodologies
  • Support the development and implementation of current and future state VSM and continuous improvement plans
  • Collaborate on the execution of the site's transformation plans and cost reduction funnel
  • Assist in educating improvement teams in lean transformation philosophy, problem-solving methodologies, and appropriate transformation tools
  • Standardize work across distribution centers
  • Help identify the right sponsorship to drive improvement activity
  • Engage in One nVent culture ensuring values are being deployed
  • Manage, update, and propose plant layouts to improve production and materials flow
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to balancing product process, standard work sheet, and playbooks
  • Coordinate 5s, share best practices, and participate in audits
  • Design workstations with ergonomics in mind

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Ideal 2+ years of experience in Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Industrial engineering activities
  • Proven understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts
  • Strong project management and project leadership experience
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in implementing, teaching, and deploying Lean Methodologies in Manufacturing, Distribution, and Transactional applications
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize structured problem-solving processes to improve customer experiences
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Fluent in written and verbal communication in English
  • Skilled in full-cycle process/project management & planning
  • Good at building relationships and influencing others
  • Experience in AutoCAD a plus
