We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to join our Business Process Automation and Solutions team at Amazon. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for driving software development projects that support our Fulfillment Centers (FCs) operations.
Key Responsibilities- Project Definition and Support
Define projects with business owners, including requirements, resources, schedules, and post-launch impact tracking. Identify potential risks and address issues to ensure successful project delivery. - Business Adoption and Support
Prepare for project launches, including user testing and launch support. Address user feedback post-implementation and track business impacts. Troubleshoot with engineers and other stakeholders to drive business adoption. - Project Roadmap and Prioritization
Build a project development plan by prioritizing diverse projects based on business impacts versus development efforts. Provide the best path forward to deliver the best solution in the long term.
We are an engineering team based in Japan, with members from 12 different countries working together for Japan, Mexico, India, and other countries. This role is based in Mexico, working with local stakeholders but requires frequent business trips to Japan.
Requirements- Experience and Skills
3+ years of experience in project management of software development or system implementation. Comfortable collaborating with multiple stakeholders across end-to-end Operations to define business requirements. - Business Acumen and Communication
Familiarity with operations and ability to discuss business needs and quantitative business impacts of system development with stakeholders. Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous situations and understand organizational and business direction. - Education and Language
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent). Proficient in both English and Spanish (business communication level).
- Agile Methodologies and PM/TPM Experience
Familiarity with agile methodologies and PM/TPM work experience in software development teams. - Technical and Business Tradeoffs
Track record of evaluating technical and business tradeoffs of different development options and proposing the best short-term and long-term solutions. - International Experience
Experience working in MX Operations organization and prioritizing projects based on ROI and reaching consensus with stakeholders.
