Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer - Automation Control Systems to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing automation control systems to reduce operator variability.
  • Developing and updating manufacturing process instructions for all control systems.
  • Developing and updating training materials on control/schematics for manufacturing processes auto machinery.
  • Supporting prototypes and pilot production of new products, product changes and improvements in coordination with the functions of Operations and Quality Compliance.
  • Initiating and managing capital goods projects; specifying and implementing new manufacturing equipment.
  • Analyzing performance and process control data.
  • Resolving component design deficiencies in relation to component assembly.
  • Suggesting design changes to new products to reduce costs and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Preparing machinery connection schematic drawings; assigning the facility to the project team and hiring outside contractors as needed.
  • Identifying, sourcing, acquiring, designing or adapting machines, tools and equipment to meet production requirements.
  • Providing feedback to R+D engineering on design concepts and specifications.
  • Finding and monitoring external vendors and consultants as needed.
  • Implementing TEOA-specific reporting standards and KPIs.
  • Creating new technologies in process designs to maximize performance and efficiency.
  • Creating innovative ideas to solve manufacturing problems and simplify new products to reduce costs and increase overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Leading design and builds of automation control designs based on Hermosillo control standards.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Fluent English skills.
  • Advanced knowledge in the use of SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Good project management skills: ability to work on several projects at once.
  • Create competitive strategies and plans.
  • Expertise with PLC CONTROLS.
  • Interpersonal skills, communication and ability to multitask.
  • Design experience in automation controls (PLCs, servos, vision systems, sensors, ladder logic, function block programming, electrical schematics development, etc).
  • Control system debugging and optimization.
  • +7 years of experience in new product launches and automation control system designs and fabrication.

Location

This role is based in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. Travel is required up to 25% of the time.
