Career Opportunity

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a critical role in the production and assembly of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Statistical Process Control standards to monitor and control critical processes.
  • Manage short-term asset management, including upgrades, retrofits, and replacements, to maintain and improve Value Stream operational capabilities.
  • Operate basic production equipment and tools to manufacture, assemble, and package products.
  • Follow blueprints, guidelines, diagrams, and schematics to ensure product and customer specifications are met.
  • Assist in modifying existing equipment or designing new equipment for continual manufacturing process improvement and quality control.
  • Conduct basic equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Support safety incidents investigation and develop, document, and maintain Standard Work, Control Plans, and FMEA's for Value Stream Operations.
  • Maintain production enablers up to date and up to standards.
Requirements
  • Basic understanding of operational functions and key functional roles.
  • Knowledge of decision-making processes and associated tools and techniques.
  • Ability to analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Working knowledge of critical thinking techniques and ability to apply them in decision-making processes.
  • Knowledge of engineering processes, techniques, and methods in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of lean manufacturing philosophy and principles.
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and logistics equipment used in manufacturing.
