About the Role

As an Oncology District Manager at Abbvie, you will play a critical role in driving sales performance and achieving business objectives in the oncology space. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing sales team and contribute to the company's mission to deliver innovative treatments to patients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Sales Performance: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed district sales plans, while ensuring effective resource utilization and budget management.
  • Lead and Develop Sales Teams: Coach and mentor sales representatives to achieve sales targets, set sales targets and incentive schemes, and manage sales force management systems.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with brand teams, sales function, and other stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and effective market intelligence information flow.
  • Align District Priorities with Brand Strategy: Ensure district priorities, activities, and engagement plans are aligned with brand strategy and national strategic priorities.
  • Monitor and Consolidate Regional Engagement Outcomes: Analyze regional engagement and account plans to inform brand planning and anticipate market needs and changes.
  • Build Trusted Stakeholder Relationships: Proactively serve key stakeholder needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements.
  • Influence Key Stakeholders: Influence opinions of key stakeholders, such as high-prescribing physicians and wholesalers, to maximize brand performance.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Certifications: Any governmental and/or legal mandatory certification requirements as per respective country's laws and/or regulations (if applicable).
  • Experience: Relevant business experience with a proven track record of success within biotech/pharma sales or sales management in at least one therapeutic area.
  • Leadership and Management: Proven track record of successful leadership, management, and coaching cross-functionally or functionally.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of territory and relationships with key stakeholders already established, ability to build strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and other relevant stakeholders, and ability to think and plan strategically.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Talent Development: Recognized as a talent developer in the local biotech/pharma environment.
  • Marketing and Commercial Experience: Marketing and other commercial experiences within the biotech/pharma industry.
