Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing cost-efficient production methods, planning and coordinating activities to produce specified products within safety, quality, and cost standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop process documentation and procedure instructions.
  2. Conduct direct labor studies using engineering practices and establish standards on operations, setup, and workstation layout.
  3. Define tooling and fixturing used in the manufacturing process and coordinate with designers to specify or procure new tools and fixtures.
  4. Analyze and evaluate manufacturing methods and standards, providing solutions to problems affecting operator safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
  5. Identify unnecessary costs and research methods and procedures for cost reduction, work cell development, and material flow improvement.
  6. Assist in developing and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
  7. Review preliminary designs, making recommendations to reduce costs and improve manufacturing and quality on new or existing parts.
  8. Develop detailed capital equipment studies and make recommendations for capital expenditures.
  9. Assist in preparing departmental budgets, including material, manpower, equipment, and outside procurement costs, operating within approved parameters.
  10. Review and evaluate costs related to make vs. buy decisions and new product development.
  11. Process purchase requisitions and records as required.
  12. Team members are expected to work wherever needed based on training.
  13. Work safely and follow all safety rules and regulations.
  14. Maintain a neat, clean, orderly work area.
  15. Complete company-provided training.
  16. Participate in PCI processes.
  17. Perform special projects as assigned.
