**Job Summary**
- The Training and Development Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of the training strategy for the engineering and maintenance staff at Sunrise Confections. This includes supporting all facilities and projects during the execution, implementation, and operation stages to ensure the accomplishment of organizational objectives.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Supervise and lead engineers and technicians to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Ensure safety goals are met within the engineering and maintenance departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to develop efficient and effective methods to support accurate and timely business solutions for both short-term and long-term strategies.
- Coordinate across teams to manage project lists, track status, and prepare summaries as needed, and lead or participate in project prioritization meetings.
- Establish and enforce engineering policies, procedures, and standards aligned with corporate engineering.
- Coordinate and communicate training requirements throughout each project.
- Drive training metrics of success for the engineering and maintenance department.
- Ensure project documentation and communication between all stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and other external collaborators or contributors.
- Responsible for training execution of the plants.
- Ensure compliance with EAM and PM policies.
- Collaborate with corporate engineering to manage local CapEx projects and initiatives.
- Lead talent development within the engineering and maintenance teams.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline of engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
- Six Sigma Green belt certification.
- Lean manufacturing experience.
**Technical Skills**
- Experience in high-speed assembly, manufacturing, beverage, or food industry.
- Experience in process engineering.
- Experience leading training for engineers, technicians, and operators.
- Experience leading engineering projects.
- Experience working with WCM, TPM, or related methodologies.
- Project management experience.
- AutoCAD familiarity and experience.
- Microsoft Office Products with high comfort level, including Excel and Project.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and manage multiple projects/priorities to meet specific goals and deadlines.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically.
- Highly organized and process-oriented with experience in risk assessment, management, and contingency planning.
