About the Role

We're seeking a Logistics Operations Supervisor to lead our delivery station team in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. As a key member of our Amazon Logistics Team, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of our delivery station, overseeing operations focused on delivering Amazon orders directly to customers.

Your primary objectives will include:

  • Reviewing operational forecasts and determining productivity requirements for sort operations to meet building goals.
  • Supporting all safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for associates and Delivery Service Providers.
  • Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives using Lean tools.

Key Responsibilities:

You will lead a team of Process Assistants and Delivery Service Providers in daily management of the delivery station, including meetings, training sessions, assigning job duties, and communicating with DSPs, management representatives, and their drivers. Your focus areas will include ensuring a safe work place, properly trained people, and addressing their needs so they can focus on their jobs.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Helping in daily operations: receiving, scanning, lifting, and moving shipments up to 25 kgs each; routing shipments within the AMZL coverage area; supporting and assigning job duties to process assistants.
  • Adapting to sudden changes and growth according to operational necessities due to the nature of Amazon's business.
  • Tracking and monitoring sorting operation and driver's dispatch; continual standing and/or walking an average of 5 miles daily.
  • Working in construction/distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, or not air-conditioned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- A completed Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years of Amazon experience.

- 2+ years of direct management experience for employees and their performance.

- 3+ Years of general experience.

- Flexibility to work weekends and/or overnight shifts if needed. Availability to work 50% of the time on a night shift.

- Fluent in both Spanish and English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field is a plus.

- 2+ years management experience in a delivery, manufacturing, production, or distribution environment.

- Management of a minimum of 30 employees (including payroll, performance management, work-flow assignment).

- Interest in long-term career development in Logistics & Transportation.

- Experience working and managing 3PL operations.

- Familiar with the area and willing to relocate.

Salary Range: $600-$900 USD per week depending on qualifications and experience, based on industry standards and comparable positions in the region. This estimate is based on local market conditions and available data, considering factors such as cost of living and labor costs in the area.
