**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineering Lead to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the platform engineering team, setting priorities, and monitoring progress toward goals.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the platform engineering team, setting priorities and monitoring progress toward goals.
- Provide expertise in Application Virtualization, primarily managing Citrix Virtual Apps/XenApp environments supporting critical business functions.
- Ensure platform quality through consistent development, testing, and documentation practices.
- Oversee all platform engineering outcomes, focusing on continuous improvement and aligning with KPIs/OKRs.
- Manage budgeting, planning, team motivation, vendor contracts, and Level 3 platform support.
- Establish governance structures and best practices for platform engineering.
- Collaborate on platform architecture and development, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Identify and implement new technology capabilities, and support platform system demos.
- Maintain and manage the software infrastructure supporting the platforms.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, and/or Management Information Systems from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience with Agile methods / methodologies, and leading SCRUM / Lean / Kanban teams.
- 10+ years or more of relevant professional experience as a technology engineer, with 7+ years in a role managing platform teams.
- 7+ years of experience deploying Application Virtualization infrastructure using private hosting and public cloud solutions.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the following technologies and activities are required:
- Citrix Virtual Apps / XenApp deployment on premises using VMware virtualization, and on AWS.
- Designing, planning, deploying, and administrating Citrix CVAD, Server Farms, Web Interface, StoreFront, NetScaler, Provisioning Services, Citrix Profile Management, Citrix Cloud services.
- Active Directory, Group Policy, and DHCP configuration.
- Automation using PowerShell scripting required.
- Troubleshooting related to Citrix XenApp infrastructure.
- 3+ years of experience using public cloud infrastructure (AWS required, Azure desired).
- Proven track record of getting things done in complex organizations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Healthcare / life science / pharmaceutical industry experience required.
- Referenceable leadership, management, or key influencer experiences required.
