About the Role

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Product Line Support Manager to oversee the daily activities and assignments of the Product Line Support (PLS) engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise the PLS engineering team, ensuring the proper design procedures and processes are followed.
  2. Report status on PLS team assignments, prioritize engineering requests, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  3. Support cost-out activities, ensure project-related documentation is accurate and compliant with regulatory agencies.
  4. Contribute to successful project completion by resolving issues and coordinating project activities.
  5. Review project documentation, provide technical soundness of design decisions, and facilitate manufacturing, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
  6. Prevent and correct manufacturing issues, maintain deviation systems, and control CO processes.
  7. Responsible for Product Data Management (PDM) and project development for product improvements.
  8. Coordinate with other departments to maximize information, skills, and resources.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; Master's Degree Preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years in similar positions.

Technical Knowledge

  • MS Office, familiarity with AutoCAD & Inventor, SolidWorks, AS400, drawing interpretation, SPC, Lean Six Sigma & DFSS, ISO9000, project management, experience with certification agencies (UL, CSA), metal forming & assembly experience.
  • Strategic thinking, project management, and leadership skills.
