About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Electronics Engineer to join our team in Mexico. As a key member of our PCB manufacturing group, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of engineers to develop and validate various PCB assembly processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps for PCBA product lines.
  • Encourage and coach continuous improvement projects that improve tooling, jigs, and fixtures, as well as product manufacturability.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities in a teamwork environment while performing job functions in a timely manner.
  • Interface with Design Engineering to improve product designs and manufacturability.
  • Program, interpret, analyze, and provide corrective action for SPI/AOI/ICT and related inspection/test data.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical-related Engineering.
  • Familiarity with electronic manufacturing processes (SMT, PTH, Potting, Coating, X-Ray, AOI, etc.).
  • Understanding of Industry Standards for CCA, Module, and box assembly requirements, including IPC and J-STD.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and LEAN practices.
  • 7+ years of experience in the deployment and troubleshooting of PCB/C CA manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in managing projects and capital.
  • Must be able to read and interpret Circuit Board Schematics, Module Box Assembly Drawings, and define manufacturing steps to meet all requirements.
  • Experience generating manufacturing work instructions.
  • Must have time study, labor standard, routing, and lean manufacturing experience.
  • Non-conformance processing experience.
  • Experience programming and operating manufacturing equipment.
  • Defect trend analysis and root cause assignable cause and corrective action experience.
  • Hands-on experience with automated soldering, wiring concepts, torque, epoxy bonding, and other electronics assembly processes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six Sigma Black Belt experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Europlacer pick and place platforms.
  • Prior experience leading formal or informal teams to reach key business metrics or objectives.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $124,400 per year, plus benefits. At BAE Systems, we support our employees in all aspects of their life, including their health and financial well-being.
