Our goal is to create a metadata-driven service platform that is simple to use, test, debug, and monitor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a group of DevOps Operations specialists to monitor features and ensure our portfolio of microservices work together seamlessly for various use cases.
  • Collect definitions of use cases from application developers, partners, and customers.
  • Solve complex problems related to cloud native microservices.
  • Automate release and deployment processes from development to production rollout following CI/CD processes using standard DevOps toolsets.
  • Manage and serve as part of a 24x7 on-call rotation in support of the SAAS Infrastructure Service Suite with the engineering team.
  • Work with customers and service developers to troubleshoot issues in production systems.
  • Mentor new employees and improve the process of knowledge sharing across the team.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related fields with professional experience in cloud infrastructure and cloud solutions.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing DevOps teams focused on operations and support.
  • Troubleshooting and performance tuning skills, with experience in debugging complex distributed running software using distributed logging, observability metrics, and providing quick resolutions to pressing issues in production.
  • Professional work experience working on complex applications/services with DevOps experience focused on operations.
  • Experience working with cloud-native infrastructure APIs and REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of Linux/UNIX shell scripting, package management, etc.
  • Experience with build automation and monitoring tools like Maven, ANT, Gradle, Jenkins, and bug tracking tools like JIRA.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated to continuously learn and improve.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of microservices architecture or experience managing microservices architecture-based solutions.
  • Familiarity with source control tools like Git, GitHub, SVN, or equivalent.
  • Experience working with standard DevOps tools like Kubernetes, Docker, Istio, Grafana, Helm Charts, and Terraform.
  • Experience with production operations and best practices for putting quality code in production and troubleshooting issues when they arise.
  • Experience in SaaS/PaaS-based cloud native enterprise application products.
  • Experience in Java, Python, or scripting.
  • Work in an agile DevOps continuous delivery environment with geographically distributed teams is highly desired.
