Accounting Operations Specialist

Main Responsibilities
The Accounting Support position is responsible for executing accounting processes, reviewing reports and following up to meet established metrics and avoid repercussions on month-end and year-end close results.
Scope of Position
Understand and implement company controls, policies, procedures, processes, applications, tools, and systems.
Key Activities
- Engage with team members daily, participate in check-ins, weekly, and monthly meetings.
- Build healthy cross-functional relationships.
- Collaborate with the Accounting Team in initiatives and priorities for the department.
- Properly use all Expeditor systems and tools, especially the accounting system.
- Ensure effective management of visitors, calls, mail, etc.
- Perform Accounts and Accounts Receivable functions as needed.
- Provide customers with their CFDI Payment Complement once deposits have been applied.
- Maintain a filing system according to internal and local document retention policies.
- Responsible for paying facility expenses assigned according to accounting guidelines.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and completion of the Annual Inventory reconciliation.
- Assist activities within the Accounting and Administration Department as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting preferred.
- Ability to learn and apply global logistics industry processes and procedures.
- Customer satisfaction-oriented.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving and business analytical skills.
- Ability to complete work within standard procedures, guidelines, and office policies.
- Self-driven personality.
- Good computer skills, including knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
- Hands-on user skills with Expeditors' applications and tools.
Work Environment
Expeditor's company culture.
English fluency preferred.
