Job Summary
The Root Cause Engineer is a critical role within Stellantis, responsible for analyzing conditions found in various development phases. This position requires a strong technical background and excellent communication skills to lead technical and management meetings for assigned platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect diagnostic data to process products through plant systems and interfaces with manufacturing, IT, and Process Vehicle Engineering teams.
- Provide guidance and troubleshoot capacity for electrical end-of-line processes at assembly plants.
- Track issues found in early stages of product validation and continue to monitor their evolution during different phases.
- Support launch activities at assembly plants and pilot plants, conduct repairs, and participate in management update meetings.
- Investigate problems found in early prototype engineering vehicles and coordinate interim and long-term solutions with component releasing engineers.
- Direct engineering teams from multiple disciplines to solve complex vehicle problems and provide remote and direct support for dealerships experiencing difficult problems with vehicles.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably as an Electrical Resident Engineer.
- Master of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Previous OEM/Supplier/Stellantis experience.
- 5 years of experience performing circuit analysis on vehicle sub-systems.
- Troubleshooting experience with vehicle systems at assembly plants, road trips, pilot build areas, and proving grounds.
- Problem-solving and DFSS experience.
- Familiarity with vehicle systems.
- Proficient MS Office experience.
