Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary
The Human Resources Generalist is a key role in our organization, responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level. This position works closely with the HR Manager to support designated areas of the business, including benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefits information to employees.
- Conduct recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; conduct new-employee orientations; monitor career-pathing programs; and write and place advertisements.
- Handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
- Administer the compensation program; monitor the performance evaluation program and revise as necessary.
- Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars.
- Maintain company organization charts.
- Constantly monitor HRIS system performance, make recommendations for improvement, and provide project management to implement changes.
- Analyze HRIS data to ensure the system is recording appropriate metrics and perform ad-hoc reporting.
- Administer various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.
- Administer the weekly processing of US payroll and assist with efforts to ensure efficient and timely processing.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
- Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
- Provide support in planning, communicating, and executing company employee engagement activities and special events, including company celebrations/gatherings, wellness initiatives, and training & development activities.
- Serve as back-up for general office administration/front desk duties.
- Perform other duties/projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- +7 years manufacturing experience.
Travel
Some travel (minimal overnight travel) is expected for this position.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday 7:00am - 4:48pm. Available to work in night shift if necessary.
