Job Summary:

To oversee production validation processes and assist in establishing priorities for new products, ensuring effective operations and cost factors, using standards preparation, validation practices, and review management on each new design.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Confer with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, assist in obtaining data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered, and help minimize excessive material on the production floor.
  • Assist in coordinating production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
  • Review and discuss production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems with production supervisors.
  • Assist in minimizing scrap and materials request order (MRO) usage, ensure each workstation has a clean operating area, and assist in implementing operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve metrics.
  • Monitor all production metrics and complete monthly "report card", seek continued improvement in lowering line and plant defects per million (DPM).
  • Ensure line employees read, understand, and adhere to appropriate policies and procedures, ensure proper stocking and availability of operation supplies and equipment.
  • Assist in monitoring the SPC system to fix repetitive and recognize problems immediately, compile, store, and retrieve production data.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
  • Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable company business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets.
  • Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
  • Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes as well as global customs regimes.
  • Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and managing continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
  • Strong and convincing communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 2+ years of experience and required industry experience. Or a combination of education, experience, and/or training.
