Senior Associate, Accounting (Controllers)

At Capital One National Association, we're seeking a Senior Associate to join our Global Finance team. As a key member of our Travel and Expense team, you'll play a critical role in supporting our worldwide financial activities, including corporate-level financial reporting, internal control, inter-company and tax activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the main point of contact for the LatAm expense reimbursement process through Peoplesoft and administration of the LatAm Corporate Card program.
  2. Deliver a well-managed process, monitoring process health and user engagement/satisfaction to recommend projects/initiatives.
  3. Drive continuous improvement, by developing business requirements, recommending and implementing well-managed solutions.
  4. Own management of projects, from the planning phase through delivery and stabilization, keeping stakeholders and leadership informed of progress and impediments.
  5. Collaborate with several teams across the organization on various corporate initiatives.
  6. Present results, findings, risks and recommendations to leadership and Global Finance stakeholders.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree
  2. At least 3 years of experience in Risk Management, Accounting, Compliance
  3. At least 2 years of experience in Process Management, Governance or Information Security

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 4+ years of experience in Risk Management
  2. 3+ years managing Data or Access Management Risks
  3. 2+ years of experience in Financial Services
  4. 1+ years of experience working in a fast-paced consulting environment
  5. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  6. Excellent problem-solving and influencing skills
