About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate IT Security Architect to join our global network infrastructure support team at Synopsys, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a highly redundant and scalable secure network.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Network Security Design and Implementation: Design, configure, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot production network infrastructure and associated services.
  2. Security Policy Development: Develop and implement network security policies and procedures.
  3. Segmentation and Access Control: Design and implement campus and datacenter macro & micro-segmentation policies.
  4. Automation and Scripting: Utilize automation tools and scripts to standardize deployment configurations and environments.
  5. Threat Detection and Response: Monitor and analyze networks for potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
  6. Security Infrastructure Management: Manage network security infrastructure including SASE, firewalls, VPNs, and ZTA solutions.
  7. Zero Trust Architecture: Help maintain and advance Zero Trust Architecture adoption.
  8. Security Standards and Compliance: Develop and enforce best practice security standards, compliance, and governance.
  9. Security Audits and Assessments: Conduct external and internal security audits and assessments to identify potential risk and vulnerabilities in the network infrastructure adhering to industry standard cybersecurity frameworks.
  10. Emerging Threats and Technologies: Stay up to date on emerging network security threats and proof of concepts.
  11. Problem-Solving and Documentation: Identify and solve problems related to overall security infrastructure performance, efficiency, and availability in a timely manner. Create and maintain documentation of network security designs, processes, and procedures.
  12. Firewall and VPN Configuration: Regularly review firewall, VPN, and web content filtering configuration and rules to ensure optimal efficiency and adherence to information security standards.
  13. Collaboration and Support: Actively participate with internal and external auditors during examinations, providing support and assistance in addressing audit recommendations. Contribute in network and security support ticketing and provide timely resolution for end user issues.
  14. On-Call Rotation: Participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
  1. Experience: 4+ years of experience working on current bleeding edge technology Gartner leaders.
  2. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  3. Skills: Proficient in network configuration management and automation tools (Python, Ansible). Familiar with RestAPI automation and configuration management secure coding. Strong attention to details: Keen eye for detail and be able to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats.
  4. Certifications: Certifications such as PCNSE, ZIA/ZPA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, CISSP, CCDE, CEH, Security+ or equivalent work experience is a big plus.
  5. Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, and AWS.
  6. Global Team Experience: Experience working in a global team environment and solving problems independently.
  7. Master's Degree: Master's degrees in Network or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity.
