Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled System Security Administrator to join our team at Jabil Circuit. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting security events, administering security tools and devices, and ensuring their optimal functionality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report security events in the Jabil enterprise, ensuring timely and effective incident response.
  • Administer security tools and devices, performing routine and advanced maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Participate in investigations, providing critical data to incident response process leaders and contributing to the resolution of security incidents.
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas related to IT systems, data, and proprietary information.
  • Exchange knowledge and best practices with other Jabil facilities, promoting a culture of security excellence throughout the organization.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer service, anticipating and exceeding expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively.
  • Perform mentoring and education for security staff members, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Understand and embrace the business and IT strategic direction, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Ensure 100% adherence to all company policies and procedures, including security, health, safety, and quality protocols.
  • Participate in projects as assigned, contributing to the development and implementation of security initiatives.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, ensuring clear understanding and effective execution.
  • Run daily reports and open tickets as required, submitting tickets to the Service Desk with supporting information or security incident details.
  • Study and review device security logs, identifying potential security threats and taking proactive measures to mitigate risks.
  • Provide assistance with Incident Response investigations and activities, contributing to the resolution of security incidents.
  • Perform monitoring of security events, identifying potential security threats and taking proactive measures to mitigate risks.
  • Provide reports and requests to audits as assigned, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Gather required metrics and reports, providing valuable insights to inform security decision-making.
  • Assist with Security tool evaluations and implementation, ensuring the optimal functionality of security tools and devices.
  • Perform daily tool management and checklists as assigned, ensuring the security tools and devices are functioning as required.
  • Handle escalations from IT Specialists, providing timely and effective support to resolve security incidents.
  • Perform on-call responsibilities as required, ensuring 24/7 coverage and rapid response to security incidents.
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management of Information Systems, or equivalent formal training in related duties.
  • 1-2 years of experience in IT and 1-2 years of experience in the security field.
  • Security technology and tools experience required.
  • One or more of the following certifications is preferred: CCNA, MCSE, Security +, or security tool certification.
  • Ability to work additional hours and shift work as needed.
