Key Responsibilities

  • Authorize credit adjustments to resolve account disputes and analyze the underlying causes of credit notes for reductions.
  • Evaluate customer account statements for future negotiations regarding electronic or traditional collection processes across Mexico and North America (US & Canada).
  • Ensure prompt collection and accurate registration of customer payments.
  • Quickly escalate non-standard issues, critical collection challenges, or high-risk situations to the Team Leader.
  • Reduce Bad Debt through early identification of potentially 'at risk' receivables.
  • Conduct complex collection activities to secure timely customer payment performance.
  • Adhere to SOX Controls in line with Danfoss Compliance standards.
  • Review processes and procedures, providing recommendations for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain strong communication with all customers, including conducting visits to represent Danfoss in credit and collection matters.
  • Perform weekly follow-ups on disputes with the Customer Service team to minimize collection impacts.
  • Participate in collection meetings with sales managers to align strategies with customer needs.
  • Oversee the uploading of invoices and supervise key accounts.
  • Train interns to follow up on accounts and assist with invoice uploads.
  • Negotiate with managers regarding key accounts and analyze the root causes of credit notes for reductions.
  • Assess customer behavior to forecast overdue and bad debt outcomes.

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Credit and Collection functions.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Experience with SAP and BI systems.
  • Strong skills in Credit Analysis and Customer Focus.
  • Proficient in Negotiation and Financial Basics (Budget Management).
  • Demonstrated Innovation and Creativity.
  • Awareness of Market and Competitors.
  • Ability in Report Writing and Documentation.
  • Experience with Request For Information (RFI) processes.
  • Skills in Tactical Implementation Plans and Project Leadership.
